The experience
The tour starts with pickup from your hotel or port, then heads straight to Uluwatu Temple: the holiest temple in Bali, built on cliffs that drop to the sea. A local guide walks you through the grounds, explains the history and the culture, and positions you for the best view of the sunset over the water. Because the guide knows the site and the crowds, you avoid the lines and the chaos that builds as the day ends.
The Kecak Dance begins as the light fades. Seventy-five dancers perform this oldest traditional dance in Bali, chanting and moving in unison on an open stage with the temple and the ocean behind them. The guide has already secured your seat so you see the dancers, the sunset and the cliff view all together, not from the back or the side. The performance runs while the light lasts, then ends as dark falls.
After the dance, you head down to Jimbaran Beach for dinner. Fresh seafood (grilled fish, prawns, squid) arrives with Balinese sauces and sides, and you eat on the sand with the beach and the sound of the waves. The guide brings you back to your hotel or port when dinner ends. The whole day runs about five hours from start to finish.

Top questions
Can children come?
Yes. Ticket types: Child (3 to 7 years); Infant (1 to 2 years): free.
What is the Kecak Dance and why is it performed at Uluwatu?
The Kecak is the oldest traditional dance in Bali, performed by 75 dancers who chant and move in synchronized patterns. It takes place at Uluwatu Temple in the evening as the sun sets, using the cliff-top location and the ocean view as part of the performance itself.
Do I have to buy dinner as part of the tour, or can I skip it?
Dinner on Jimbaran Beach is optional. You can book the tour with or without the seafood meal included. The choice is yours at checkout. Either way, the Kecak Dance and the temple visit are part of the same tour.
How does the guide help with the monkeys at Uluwatu?
Uluwatu Temple is known for monkeys that can be aggressive around bags and loose items. The local guide protects you from them and keeps you safe while you move through the temple grounds and watch the sunset.
Will I really see the sunset, the dance and the ocean view at the same time?
Yes. The guide secures good seats positioned so you see all three together: the sun dropping over the water, the dancers on stage in front of you, and the cliff view framing the whole scene. The timing is built into the tour so the dance begins as the light fades.
What does the tour include, and what do I need to arrange separately?
The tour includes skip-the-line Kecak Dance tickets, the local guide in English, private transportation, and hotel or port pickup and drop-off. Dinner is included only if you select the All Inclusive option at checkout. The other options let you skip it or add it separately.
