The experience

You get picked up from your hotel in an air-conditioned vehicle and driven to Jimbaran Bay, where the operator has reserved a private table set up on the beach itself or on a covered terrace that overlooks the bay and the colorful fishing boats anchored in front. The menu is fixed: seafood soup, a 300-gram grilled fish, 250 grams of prawns, three clams, 150 grams of squid, rice, fresh Balinese sauce, spinach, vegetables and mineral water. All fees and taxes are included in the price.

The timing is built around the sunset. You sit down as the light starts to fade, eat while the sky changes color, and stay through the evening as the city lights begin reflecting off the water and the stars come out. The whole dinner takes about 90 minutes. A guide in English is on hand if you have questions about the food or the bay itself.

Transport back to your hotel is included, so there's no need to arrange a ride home after dark or negotiate with a driver at the end of the meal. The vehicle is wheelchair accessible, and all areas of the dining setup are accessible as well.
