Hotel pickup starts around 7am, then a 45-minute boat crossing brings you to Padar Island. The hike climbs to the summit, the highest point on the island, where the view opens across a blend of landscape and seascape separated by secluded coastline. From there the boat carries you to Komodo Island, where a professional guide and local ranger lead a trek to see the Komodo dragons, the ancient living lizards found nowhere else on earth. Lunch comes as a packed box on the boat.
The afternoon moves through four snorkeling stops. Pink Beach gets its name from the white and pink-colored sand. You swim and snorkel there with the guide. Manta Point is where manta rays appear in the water: the guide stays with you to point them out. Taka Makassar and Kanawa Island both offer snorkeling and white sand beaches. The boat is private, so timing and stops bend to the group's pace rather than a fixed schedule. Snorkeling equipment (mask, fins, snorkel, life jacket) comes with the tour.
