An evening mangrove canoe tour in Nusa Dua where you paddle through the forest at dusk and into the night, guided by a live English speaker who points out crabs and other creatures that appear after dark. The experience

The tour starts with hotel pickup in the late afternoon, followed by a briefing at the JTB office before you head to Wana Segara Kertih to meet your group. Once on the water around 6:30 p.m., you paddle into the mangrove forest as daylight fades. The guide points out the ecosystem (the plants, the animals that only move at night, the crabs that emerge from the mud), and the landscape shifts from dusk colors into darkness. You'll wear a headlamp and a life jacket. The guide carries a first aid kit and knows the waterways well enough to navigate safely as the light goes.

The paddle itself takes roughly 2 hours. Tides and weather can shift the timing or the route, so the operator builds in flexibility there. Around 7:45 p.m., you return to shore. If you've booked the dinner package, a seafood meal waits: locally inspired dishes that wrap up the evening. Without the dinner option, the tour ends at the landing and you're free to head back or linger.

Pickup covers most of central Nusa Dua, Sawangan, Jimbaran, Kuta, Legian, Seminyak, Sanur and Denpasar. Locations outside that zone carry an extra charge. Cruise passengers also pay an additional fee. Bring a swimsuit, slippers, sunscreen, a towel and spare clothes. The operator asks that you wear comfortable, modest clothing and carry only a small bag. Bottled water is provided, and you can request a phone protector to keep your device dry.
