The day starts with pickup from your Udaipur hotel in the early morning (06:45 or 07:15 depending on season) for the three-hour drive to Narlai. The village sits at the base of a hillock crowned by an elephant statue and has been a settlement for centuries—once an important royal hunting reserve. You'll walk through its narrow lanes with your guide, passing the ornately carved temples of Adinath and Lord Shiva, whose ceilings carry fine murals. The walk lets you move at your own pace through the village maze and see how people dress and live here, with colorfully dressed locals in huge turbans going about their day.

After the village exploration, you'll have lunch at a nearby restaurant before heading out on the jeep safari.
