The Experience

Ever wonder if you can really see India’s Golden Triangle in just three days? I did too. Our driver picked us up in Delhi before the city was fully awake, and honestly, I still smelled cardamom from my hotel chai when we pulled up to Jama Masjid. The call to prayer echoed over Old Delhi as we wandered through Chandni Chowk—so much noise and color it almost felt like a dare. Our guide Rakesh grinned as he pointed out a tiny shop selling jalebi; he insisted we try one (sticky fingers for the rest of the morning). At Gurudwara Bangla Sahib, the quiet inside was such a relief after the street chaos. There’s this faint scent of lentils and ghee from the langar kitchen—everyone’s welcome, no questions asked.

The drive to Agra was longer than I expected (traffic is its own adventure), but seeing the Taj Mahal at sunrise made me forget every bump in the road.
