The experience

The tour starts at Pushkar fairground at 3:30 PM and heads straight to the sunset point, a viewpoint known for its wide views of the desert as light fades. You'll find crowds gathering there along with camel carts and desert bikes, and vendors renting traditional Rajasthani dress if you want to photograph yourself in it. After watching the sunset and taking pictures, you travel by car to Pushkar Adventure Desert Camp for the night.

At the camp, the one-hour camel ride happens as part of the experience, letting you move through the desert at the animal's pace. Dinner is served at the camp, followed by a bonfire where you can sit and talk with other travelers. Breakfast comes the next morning before you head back. The guide speaks English throughout, and children from age one are welcome, though the tour is not recommended for pregnant travelers and requires at least moderate fitness to manage the camel ride and camp activities.
