The experience
Your guide meets you for a morning that moves through the layers of Bangalore's past. You'll start at the remains of Tipu's Fort, the stronghold Tipu Sultan built before the British dismantled it, then step into a 300-year-old temple built in Dravidian style to see the carved stone and architectural detail up close. A quick stop outside Vidhana Soudha (the country's largest legislative building, a blend of Neo-Dravidian and Graeco-Roman design) gives you the scale of the structure without the lengthy interior visit.
The route then takes you to Bangalore Palace, the residential seat of the Wodeyar dynasty in the heart of the city. From there you move into the chaos and color of KR Market, where flower sellers, spice vendors and produce stalls crowd the lanes: a working marketplace that shows how the city actually moves. Your guide handles the navigation and the stories. Private transportation covers the gaps between stops, so you walk the parts that matter and ride the rest.
The tour runs four to five hours, which leaves the afternoon open. Entrance fees to Tipu's Summer House and Bangalore Palace are paid separately at each site, so you can choose which ones to enter or skip them entirely and stay outside with the guide.

What happens if it rains?
It may be canceled due to bad weather. If that happens, you're offered another date or a refund. Free cancellation up to 24h before the start.
What was Tipu's Fort used for before the British took it down?
Tipu Sultan built the fort as his Bangalore stronghold. The British dismantled it and consolidated their own control over the city afterward, so what remains today are the ruins of that original structure.

How much walking is involved in this tour?
You walk through the key sites (the fort remains, the temple, and KR Market), while private transport covers the distances between stops. The tour is moderate in pace. It's not recommended for travelers with spinal injuries or pregnant travelers.
What is KR Market like, and why is it on the itinerary?
KR Market is a bustling flower and produce market where local sellers work among spices, fruits and vegetables. It's included to show you how the city actually functions day-to-day, not just its monuments.
