The experience
The class starts with pickup from your hotel, airport or railway station in Jaipur. Your private driver brings you to the cooking space, where your guide walks you through four dishes that form the backbone of everyday Indian meals. You're not watching a demonstration. You're doing the cooking yourself, learning how to layer spices, work with paneer and fresh herbs, and build the flavors that make Indian food distinctive. The guide shares stories about traditional Indian life and family meals as you work, grounding the food in the culture that shaped it.
You'll prepare pakora with chai first: fried snacks that pair with the strong tea Indians drink throughout the day. Then comes dal tadka, the lentil dish that appears on most Indian tables, followed by paneer gravy made with fresh cheese and aromatic spices. If you choose the chicken option, you'll learn how to build a proper curry from whole spices. Naan or roti finishes the menu, and you'll make the bread yourself. Each step builds on the last, so by the time you sit down to eat, you understand not just the recipes but why these ingredients and techniques matter.
After the meal, your driver takes you back to your hotel or wherever you want to be dropped in Jaipur. The whole experience runs three hours, which keeps the cooking focused and the meal fresh.

Top questions
Can children come?
Yes. Ticket types: Child (under 10): free.
What dishes do I actually cook during the class?
You make pakora (fried snacks), dal tadka (lentil curry), paneer gravy with fresh cheese, chicken curry or a vegetarian alternative, and naan or roti bread. Each one teaches a different technique: frying, tempering spices, working with dairy, building layered flavors and bread-making.
Do I need cooking experience to join this class?
No. The guide teaches you from the start, showing you how to handle spices, prepare ingredients and time each dish. The class is built for people who want to learn, not for people who already know how.
Is the meal vegetarian, or can I cook meat?
The menu includes both. Pakora, dal tadka, paneer gravy and bread are vegetarian. Chicken curry is offered as an option. If you prefer to skip it, the vegetarian dishes make a complete meal on their own.
How does pickup work?
Your private driver collects you from your hotel, airport, railway station or any location you name in Jaipur, brings you to the cooking class, and returns you to the same place after the meal. The pickup is included in the price.
What's included in the three hours?
The cooking class itself, all ingredients and equipment, chai tea, local snacks, the meal you cook and eat, hotel pickup and drop-off by private vehicle, and the guide's stories about traditional Indian life and cooking.
