The experience
Eight hours means you move at your own pace instead of keeping to a group schedule. You're picked up from your accommodation, port or airport anywhere on the island and driven in an air-conditioned vehicle to Agios Sostis port in Laganas Bay, where your boat waits. The captain navigates the National Marine Park, and your guide watches for sea turtles surfacing to breathe. They'll tell you when to have your camera ready. Myzithres Beach is the first major stop: two rocks that were separated by water until the 2018 earthquake joined them to the shore. Your guide shows you the hidden path that cuts through the rocks from one side of the beach to the other, a detail most visitors miss.
Keri Caves sit on the southwestern coast, carved into white limestone cliffs that drop straight into the sea. The captain is skilled at steering the boat into the small caves and through the famous rock arch called Kamara. You'll have time to swim just outside a large cave entrance. If you bring snorkeling gear, you can see the marine life in the clear water. Marathonisi Island comes next, a green island inside the National Marine Park. The boat enters two caves on the island, then stops for an hour at a small golden beach where you can swim, snorkel or rest. The island is home to protected Caretta-Caretta turtle nests, roped off for their safety. A moving sight if you're there during nesting season.
On the return to port, you have the option to visit the Aristeon olive oil museum, where local experts walk you through centuries of olive oil production methods and let you taste free samples of olives and bread with different extra virgin olive oils. A stop in the fishing village of Keri offers photos of Keri Lake and its views. Your guide will take you to a restaurant with views of the Myzithres rocks for lunch (at your own cost), and finish at the Myzithres viewpoint so you can photograph the white rocks against the brilliant blue water. If you spot something else you want to see on the drive back, ask your driver to stop.

Top questions
What languages is the tour guided in?
Live guide in English, German, Arabic and Greek.
What happens if it rains?
It may be canceled due to bad weather. If that happens, you're offered another date or a refund. Free cancellation up to 24 h before the start.
What's the best time of year to see sea turtles on this tour?
Caretta-Caretta turtles nest on Zakynthos beaches from May through August, so you're most likely to see them during those months. The nests at Marathonisi Island are protected and roped off year-round, but sightings of turtles surfacing to breathe in the water happen most often in summer.
Can I swim at Myzithres Beach, or is it just for photos?
Myzithres Beach is open for swimming. The water is clear and shallow in many spots, and your guide will show you the safest places to enter. Many visitors swim between the two rock formations after exploring the hidden path.
Is the boat ride rough, or is it calm enough for someone who gets seasick?
The boat operates in the National Marine Park on the southern coast, which is generally calmer than open sea. The captain adjusts the route based on weather and sea conditions on the day. If you're concerned about seasickness, mention it to your guide when you meet, and they can help you choose calmer stops or timing.
What happens if I want to skip one of the stops and do something else instead?
The itinerary is completely flexible because it's a private tour. Before you leave your accommodation, chat with your guide about what interests you most. You can swap stops, spend more time at one beach, or ask your guide for their recommendations on places other visitors don't usually see.
Does the tour include snorkeling gear, or do I need to bring my own?
Snorkeling gear is not provided. If you want to snorkel at Keri Caves or Marathonisi, bring your own mask, fins and snorkel, or rent them in advance from a local shop on the island.
