The Experience
You don't have to follow someone else's schedule on this island. The tour starts when your guide arrives at your accommodation or port, and from there the day is yours to shape. You tell them what matters—whether that's the turquoise water at Navagio Beach, the sulfur-tinged shallows of Xigia, the limestone chambers of the Blue Caves, or the quiet fiord at Porto Limnionas—and they drive. The vehicle is air-conditioned, the guide knows the back roads and the timing of light, and you're not herding through a group of twenty people trying to get the same photo.
Navagio shows up around midday, when the sun hits the water and it splits into five shades of turquoise at once. You'll walk a stony path out to a high promontory—about ten minutes—where the shipwreck sits framed below and the whole cove opens up in front of you. The water is so clear that boats look like they're floating. From the clifftop platform you can shoot without descending, or your guide can point you to the angle that works. Xigia Beach is smaller, almost hidden, and the water has a milky cast from natural sulfur and collagen in the sand; it's the kind of place that photographs strangely because it looks unreal. If you want to swim, there's a path down, and yes, there's a way to get drinks to the beach that's apparently ingenious enough to be worth seeing.
The Blue Caves come by boat along the west coast. The caves are chambers carved into the cliff by erosion, and when sunlight bounces off the water and reflects into the rock, everything inside turns sapphire. A small-to-medium boat lets you motor right into some of them and swim or snorkel in the turquoise water, watching the color paint the limestone around you. Porto Limnionas, on the other side of the island, is wilder—you pass through the mountain village of Agios Leon to reach it, and the water there is so clear and the cove so narrow it feels like a fjord. This is the private customizable Zakynthos tour that lets you skip the places you don't care about and linger where you do.
Your guide is local and experienced, speaks English, and will drive you to every corner of the island for as long as you want to stay out. Door-to-door pickup and drop-off from anywhere on Zakynthos is included. Meals and entrance fees are on you, but transport, the vehicle, full insurance, and bottled water are covered. If you're traveling with infants or small children, specialized seats and stroller space are available. The whole thing runs at your pace, not the tour operator's clock.

Does the price include entry fees to beaches or the Blue Caves?
No. Transport, the vehicle, insurance and water are included. Meals and any entrance fees are at your own expense.
Is there a time limit on how long I can tour?
The tour is flexible. Your guide is at your disposal for as long as you wish, so you set the length of the day.
Can I swim and snorkel at the Blue Caves?
Yes. The boat is small enough to enter some of the caves, and you can swim and snorkel in the turquoise water inside.
What language does the guide speak?
English. If you need another language, contact the operator to request written information.
Is this tour suitable for families with young children?
Yes. Specialized infant seats and stroller space are available, and the tour is suitable for all fitness levels.
What happens if I want to visit Navagio Beach—can I swim there?
Navagio is accessed from a clifftop platform for safety reasons. You can photograph the beach and shipwreck from above, and your guide can point out the best angles. Swimming is not possible from the viewing area.
Is pickup from the cruise port included?
Yes. Door-to-door pickup and drop-off from any location on the island, including the port, is included.
