Rhodes Cruise with Fun Island: Swim, Snorkel & Greek Lunch
Six and a half hours on water: town views, two bays, floating platform with SUPs and canoes, Kallithea Springs
This 6.5-hour boat excursion around Rhodes sails aboard El Greco, a traditional Greek wooden gulet, with stops for swimming in Anthony Quinn Bay and snorkeling at the operator's private Fun Island platform. The day includes snorkeling equipment, SUPs and canoes at no extra cost, a traditional Greek meal and local wine aboard, and a pass by Kallithea Springs. A live guide speaks English and Greek throughout.
Step-by-step itinerary
Rhodes island boat excursion
- View Rhodes town from sea
- Swim at Anthony Quinn Bay
- Enjoy Fun Island activities
- Visit Kallithea Springs
The Experience
El Greco is a wooden gulet built in the traditional Greek style, and the captain shares its history as you leave the Rhodes waterfront. The boat heads out to show you the town from sea level, then makes for Anthony Quinn Bay, one of the island's most popular swimming spots. The water is clear enough to jump in and stay for a real swim, not just a photo stop.
The main event is Fun Island, a floating platform complex that exists only here and belongs to the operator. It holds inflatable couches, sea toys, and the gear you need: snorkeling equipment, SUPs and canoes are all free to use. You spend a long stop here—enough time to snorkel, paddle a canoe, try a SUP, or float on the couches without rushing. Lunch arrives while you are still on or near the platform: a traditional Greek meal and platters of fresh local fruit, plus unlimited soft drinks, water and local wine. The boat carries a restroom and WiFi if you need either.
On the return, you pass Kallithea Springs, a site where nature and architecture meet in a way that stops people mid-conversation to take a photo. The whole day runs 6.5 hours from start to finish.
