The experience

Mykonos Town is where the tour starts, after pickup from your hotel or the cruise-ship port. You'll walk with your guide through the labyrinth of whitewashed buildings in the old town, with time to shop and photograph, and if you're lucky, spot Petros the pelican, Mykonos's famous mascot. The windmills come next, then Little Venice, the neighborhood of elegant old houses perched on the edge of the sea.

The second half moves by car to the quieter side of the island. You'll pass Ornos Beach and Kalo Livadi on the way to Ano Mera village, where you'll stop in the picturesque square for a piece of spinach pie from the local traditional bakery. The village's main draw is the Panagia Tourliani Monastery, a 16th-century cathedral with entrance included in the tour. The route can end at Paradise Beach or the more low-key Agrari Beach, both with umbrellas, sunbeds and clear water, or your guide can adjust the stops to fit what you want to see.
