The experience
The day starts with hot coffee and breakfast as the boat leaves Kavala. Your skipper handles the route and the cooking, which means you arrive at your first stop, Makryammos Beach, ready to swim in clear water while an appetizer and soft drinks wait on deck. The skipper prepares everything. You choose how long to stay in the water.
From there the boat sails up the eastern coast of Thassos, passing Marble Beach (turquoise water, sandy shore, pine trees reaching the sea) and stopping at Vathi Beach and Saliara Bay. The route ends at Golden Beach, one of the largest on the island, where the water turns blue-green and you anchor for a longer swim. Along the way you may see seagulls and cormorants nesting on the rocks, and dolphins are possible in their natural habitat. If you add the Greek menu (extra charge), your skipper cooks a sea-chef meal with Greek salad, wine or beer while you float or rest on deck.
Snorkeling gear is included and ready to use at any stop. The boat returns to Kavala Port by evening. Choose North Thassos if you want the full eastern-coast route with all four beaches. South Thassos covers different anchorages if you prefer a different part of the island. A transfer from your hotel or cruise ship to the port can be arranged at checkout.
