The experience
The tour splits into two halves. Day one starts at 8:30 with the Acropolis (the Parthenon, Erechtheion and the surrounding structures), then breaks for lunch before the afternoon departure to Cape Sounio at 3 p.m. The Temple of Poseidon sits on a cliff above the Aegean, and the tour runs until 7 p.m., timing the visit to catch the light as it drops toward the water. You return to your hotel in Athens that evening.
Day two is a full-day trip to Delphi, starting at 8:30 a.m. and returning at 7 p.m. The site itself (the ancient oracle sanctuary and its museum) sits in the mountains north of Athens, about two hours away. The guide walks you through the archaeological zones and the museum's collection, which holds some of the most significant objects from classical Greece. Transport is by air-conditioned vehicle, and the guide speaks English throughout both days.
All three entrance tickets: Acropolis (€30), Temple of Poseidon (€20), and Delphi (€20), are prepaid and included in the price. You'll pay them in cash on the bus before each site. Hotel pickup covers selected hotels only. If yours is not on the list, public transport stops are nearby. Children aged 5 to 17 need a passport or ID to claim the free entrance ticket at the archaeological sites. Without it, they pay the adult rate.

Top questions
Can children come?
Yes. Ticket types: Child (4 to 17 years); Infant (under 4): free.
What's actually inside the Acropolis that I'll see on the morning tour?
The Acropolis tour covers the Parthenon, the Erechtheion and the surrounding structures on the hilltop. The guide walks you through the main temples and explains their history and architecture during the morning half-day.
Is the Temple of Poseidon worth the trip to Cape Sounio, or is it just a quick photo stop?
The Temple of Poseidon stands alone on a cliff overlooking the Aegean, and the tour allocates the full afternoon and early evening there, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., so you have time to walk the site and sit with the view. The timing also means you're there as the light changes toward sunset.
How much time do you actually spend at Delphi, and what does the museum include?
Delphi is a full-day visit on day two, from 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m., with the drive both ways included. The museum holds sculptures, inscriptions and objects from the sanctuary, and the guide takes you through both the archaeological site and the collection.
Do I need to arrange my own hotel on the night between day one and day two?
You return to your own hotel in Athens after day one and continue the tour from there on day two. The tour does not include overnight accommodation, so you stay in your existing hotel or lodging between the two days.
What if my hotel isn't on the pickup list? How do I get to the meeting point?
Hotel pickup is available from selected hotels only. If yours is not included, public transportation options are available nearby to reach the starting point for each day's tour.
