Jet Surf in Corsica is a one-hour water activity where you ride motorized boards built by Formula 1 engineers, reaching speeds up to 65km/h. You start with a stabilizing float, then remove it once you've mastered the board. Your guide follows in a boat with a walkie-talkie headset to coach you through turns, jumps and acceleration. Helmet and life jacket included. Boards adjust to your age and weight. Children from age 4 can ride in tandem with the instructor on a monitor board.

The experience

You arrive at the water and get fitted with a helmet and life jacket. The boards are brand new and adjustable: the operator sizes yours to your weight and age before you start. Your guide explains the basics on shore, then you wade in with a float attached to stabilize the board while you get the feel of it. The float keeps you upright as you learn the grip and balance. Once you're steady, the guide removes it and you're riding free.

From there, the sensations open up. You'll carve hard turns, hit small jumps in the waves, and push the board's speed. Your guide stays in a boat alongside you the whole time, talking to you through a walkie-talkie clipped to your helmet: real-time tips on your line, your weight distribution, how to lean into the next move. The boards handle up to 65km/h, and the guide gives you all the pointers to find that speed safely. Kids under 12 ride in tandem on the instructor's board instead of their own, so they get the thrill without the solo learning curve.

The session runs one hour total. If you want someone to watch from the boat (a partner, a friend), there's room for them to come along and film or just take in the ride.
