The experience
The cellar itself is where the day starts. You move through the winemaking, storage and bottling facilities at Domaine GUETH, seeing how Muriel produces her wines using organic methods across seven generations of family winemaking. She explains her philosophy as you go: a modern, feminine approach that emphasises finesse and respect for the grapes rather than heavy extraction. The tour is built around conversation, so the pace depends on your questions and what catches your interest.
After the cellar, you sit down to taste seven wines you choose from a selection of over twenty. The range spans traditional classics, old-vine selections and unusual cuvées, all produced from single vineyards in Alsace. You compare two terroirs side by side to understand how soil and location shape what ends up in the glass. Kougelhopf, the region's sweet bread, and crackers come with the tasting, a pairing that lets the wine's fruit and elegance come through. Minors under 18 can taste organic grape juice at no extra charge.
If a wine speaks to you, you can buy it on the spot or arrange delivery to your home. The whole experience runs about an hour, and the setting sits in the heart of the Alsatian vineyards, so the landscape itself frames what you're learning.
