The tour starts with pickup from your hotel lobby and a drive to a working reindeer farm outside Rovaniemi. Once there, you feed the reindeer by hand: the animals approach for food, and you learn how herders manage them across the seasons. The guide, who speaks English, explains the daily rhythms of the farm and how reindeer herding fits into Sámi culture and the landscape itself.

You spend time walking the farm grounds and the surrounding Lappish nature, with the guide answering questions about how the animals live and what the work demands. Snacks and hot drinks are served during the visit. The whole experience runs about two and a half hours, and you're back at your hotel by early afternoon.
