The experience

A member of the family business picks you up from your accommodation and drives you 35 minutes to their reindeer farm and cabin on a private wilderness lake. Once there, you step into the everyday work of the farm: hundreds of reindeer, no other visitors, just your group of up to eight. You touch the animals, feed them lichen, and take one for a walk. The guide explains the reindeer's year in Lapland, the seasons and the rhythms that shape life here.

After the farm, you move to the cabin next door and put on snowshoes for a walk across the frozen lake into the snowy forest.
