The experience
Hotel pickup means you don't need to arrange transport to Giza. The guide meets you and takes you straight to the Pyramids of Giza Complex. A certified Egyptologist walks you through the tombs and temples, explaining the history of Khufu, Khafre and Menkaure as you move between them. The Nine Pyramids View is where the professional photoshoot happens, with the ancient pyramids as your backdrop. A camel ride is available if you want it (at additional cost). You'll also enter the Valley Temple of Khafre to see the colossal statues and architecture that have survived thousands of years.
The National Museum of Egyptian Civilization holds the Royal Mummies and artifacts that anchor the story the pyramids tell. Khan el-Khalili, the old market in Cairo, closes out the day: a working bazaar where the pace and noise are nothing like the quiet of the temples. The guide speaks English, Spanish, Italian, French or one of three other languages, so the history comes through in your own words.
The tour runs eight to twelve hours depending on how long you spend at each stop. Children from age one travel with you, and infants can use a specialized seat if needed. You return to your hotel at the end, with the professional photos in hand.

Is this one for you?Hotel pickup settles the transport question for anyone without a car or unfamiliar with Cairo's roads, so you start the day at your hotel instead of finding your way to Giza. The private guide and photographer mean the tour moves at your pace and the photos are yours alone, not shared with a group.
