The experience

Book your preferred time slot between 6 am and 5 pm and a guide picks you up from your Cairo or Giza hotel in a private air-conditioned minivan. The ride takes about three hours total, including the transfer to the Giza Plateau and a safety briefing before you mount the quad bike. Once you're ready, you throttle across the sands and dunes (the bikes reach speeds over 50 mph), with the pyramids rising against the horizon. The guide stays with you to point out angles for photos and help you capture yourself against the ancient backdrop.

The Giza Plateau holds the Great Pyramid of Khufu, the Pyramid of Khafre and the Pyramid of Menkaure, each with its own valley temple and mortuary complex.
