Glide over the canopy, walk a rope bridge, climb rock with a guide

Ziplining in Baños combines three separate challenges in one morning: you zipline across the forested valley, cross a Tibetan bridge suspended between rocks, and ascend a via ferrata route with expert guidance. All safety gear is included, and a private vehicle picks you up from your hotel. The guide speaks English or Spanish and welcomes children from age 2.

Step-by-step itinerary

Zipline and adventure activities

  • Experience zipline over valley
  • Cross Tibetan bridge
  • Skateboard on cable
  • Ascend via ferrata with guide

The experience

What separates this from a standard canopy tour is the mix. You're not just zipping through the trees. You also test your balance on a rope bridge strung between rock faces, then climb a via ferrata with your guide managing the safety line. The three-hour block is tight enough to fit before lunch or after a morning elsewhere in town, but long enough that you're not rushing between setups. Private transportation means you don't coordinate meeting a group at a trailhead. The vehicle collects you from your hotel and brings you back when it's done.

The gear stays on the whole time: harness, helmet and lifeline are fitted at the start and managed by the guide throughout. You focus on the movement (the speed of the zipline descent, the footwork on the bridge, the handholds on the rock face) rather than on rigging or safety checks. The guide is there to talk you through each section and keep the pace steady, not to narrate the landscape or stop for photos. Children from age 2 can participate, though they ride with an adult on the zipline sections.

Is this one for you?Three hours is short enough to pair with other activities in Baños the same day, but long enough that you're not skipping any of the four sections to save time. If your schedule is tighter, ask about the zipline-only option. If you have a full morning free and want the complete challenge, the multi-circuit uses all of it.

Top questions

What languages is the tour guided in?

Live guide in English and Spanish.

Can children come?

Yes. Ticket types: Youth (15 to 18 years); Child (7 to 12 years); Infant (2 to 6 years).

What's the difference between the zipline-only option and the multi-circuit one?

The multi-circuit includes the zipline, Tibetan bridge crossing, skateboard descent on a cable, and via ferrata climb all in the same session. The zipline-only option covers just the canopy section if you want a shorter, less varied experience.

Do I need climbing experience for the via ferrata part?

No. The via ferrata is guided, and the guide manages your safety line throughout. It's designed for people testing their balance and nerve on rock, not for climbers with prior training.

How long does the whole thing take from hotel pickup to return?

Three hours total, including transportation to the site, gear fitting, and all three activities. That leaves most of the day free for other plans in Baños.

Is this suitable if I'm not very fit?

The activity is suitable for all physical fitness levels. The guide sets the pace and can adjust how you move through each section. Let your guide know about any concerns when you start.
