Cross two mountains on cable, suspended between river canyons

Ziplining in Baños is a canopy circuit where you cross from one mountainside to the other on six separate ziplines strung along a 2000-meter stainless steel cable. You start 20 meters above the Pucayaco River and end 160 meters above the Ulba River canyon, with each line covering a different distance and height. A live guide in English or Spanish leads the activity, and an air-conditioned vehicle is included.

Step-by-step itinerary

Canopy zipline adventure circuit

  • Receive safety equipment
  • Start crossing at 20 meters altitude
  • Traverse 6 zipline stations
  • Enjoy views of flora and fauna
  • Finish crossing at 160 meters altitude

The experience

The circuit divides the 2000-meter route into six stations, each one a separate line with its own span and elevation. You move through the canopy crossing from one side of the mountain to the other, suspended above the river canyons below. The stainless steel cable runs the full distance, and you're secured with complete safety equipment for each crossing. The landscape shifts as you progress: flora and fauna visible from the vantage of each line, the river gorges dropping away beneath you.

An air-conditioned vehicle brings you to the starting point. A guide in English or Spanish manages the circuit and your progression through the six stations. The activity runs about two and a half hours from start to finish. Infants sit on an adult's lap during transport. The activity itself is suitable for all fitness levels, though it's not recommended for travelers with spinal injuries.

What’s included

  • Air-conditioned vehicle pickup and transport.
  • live guide in English or Spanish.
