The Experience

The day splits into two halves, and the first one is the ATV ride. You explore the region on four wheels, stopping at Macao Beach where the sand is white and the palms line the shore—a spot popular with locals and surfers. From there you head to a coffee and chocolate tasting house to sample the local flavors, then ride to a cenote with crystalline water where you can swim and cool off. The whole ATV section moves at a pace that lets you take in the landscape without rushing through it.

After the riding is done, you transfer to a catamaran for the second half. Snorkeling gear is provided, and you go into the water to see the marine life beneath the surface. The boat has an open bar—unlimited drinks while you're aboard—and lunch is served. Music plays while you move between the snorkeling spot and a natural pool where you can relax, sunbathe and watch the water. The catamaran brings you back to your hotel or pickup point by the end of the afternoon.
