The day starts with pickup from your hotel, then moves into the monkey sanctuary where you spend about 45 minutes in close proximity to squirrel monkeys. These are animals trained and cared for on-site, not a zoo setting. You interact with them directly as part of the guided portion. After that comes the core of the experience: you take the wheel of a 4x4 jungle ATV buggy that seats two passengers. Specialized guides teach you the safety essentials and how to operate the buggy before you set out, and they ride alongside you through the unusual terrain.
