The Colourful Copenhagen Route branches off toward Freetown Christiania and Islands Brygge, while the Home of Carlsberg Route heads west to the zoo and planetarium. You're not locked into a schedule. You get off when something catches your eye, spend as long as you need, and catch the next bus.

The double-decker buses have open-top decks, which means you'll actually see the city instead of staring at the back of someone's head. Audio commentary comes through in six languages on free headphones, so you're not guessing what you're looking at. The boat tour upgrade is worth considering if you want to see Copenhagen from the water. It's a one-hour cruise departing from Ved Stranden or Nyhavn, running every 30 minutes during summer and less frequently in winter. The Classic Copenhagen Route departs every 35 minutes from 9:30am to 4:30pm. The Colourful Copenhagen Route runs at 12pm, 2pm and 4pm. The Home of Carlsberg Route departs at 11:15am, 1:15pm and 3:15pm. Frequency may be lower in winter months.

Can I use the pass on multiple days?

Yes. A 24-hour pass covers one calendar day, a 48-hour pass covers two consecutive days, and a 72-hour pass covers three consecutive days. Once activated, you can hop on and off as many times as you want within that window.

What's included in the boat tour upgrade?

A one-hour canal and harbour cruise departing from Ved Stranden or Nyhavn, with audio commentary on board. Boats are open-air in summer and covered and heated in winter. You must redeem your ticket at the ticket house before boarding.

How long is each route?

The Classic Copenhagen Route takes 90 minutes for a full loop. The Colourful Copenhagen Route is 55 minutes. The Home of Carlsberg Route is 45 minutes. Since you can hop off and on, you control how long you spend.
