You board an open-air double-decker at any of 22 stops and ride as long as you want, hopping off at Tivoli, Amalienborg, Nyhavn and other landmarks. If you choose the boat option, you float through Copenhagen's harbors and canals for an hour, passing under bridges and past Christianshavn. The ticket lasts 24 or 48 hours from first use, and you can cancel up to a day before.
The bus is a double-decker with the top deck open to the air, and it stops near everything — Tivoli Gardens, Amalienborg Palace where the royal family winters, Nyhavn with its painted row houses, and the Little Mermaid statue. You get a 24 or 48-hour ticket, which means you can hop off at any of the 22 stops, spend as long as you want there, and catch the next bus when you're ready. An audio guide plays in 10 languages, so you're not dependent on a live narrator or a group moving at someone else's pace.
The boat option is the thing that changes the day. It's a separate 60-minute tour on one of the blue Nettobådene boats, and it leaves from Nyhavn near bus stop number 8. You'll float through the harbors and canals — past Christianshavn, under low bridges, past the colored facades and the water reflections that make Copenhagen look different from the street. The boat tour is included if you buy the bus-and-boat combo, but you have to exchange your voucher on the bus first, then head to the boat stop. If you're traveling with children aged 3 to 15, they'll need a separate boat ticket, which you buy at the boat stop itself. Infants ride free up to age 2 and sit on an adult's lap; children 3 to 14 have a reduced bus fare.
Redemption is straightforward — you exchange your voucher at any of the 23 stops or at the Tours & Tickets office inside Copenhagen's central train station (look for the blue information sign at Bernstorffsgade 14). The ticket is valid from the moment you first use it, so there's no pressure to start on any particular day. Cancellation and rescheduling are possible up to 24 hours before, and if you're arriving by cruise ship, there's a shuttle bus connection to Ocean Pier running from 11am to 4:30pm. The bus stops use the same public transit stops as regular city buses, so they're marked with a generic "Sightseeing" sign — not always obvious, but the app and map from RED Sightseeing show exactly where each one is.

Is this one for you?Pick this if you want to see Copenhagen's main sights without booking a guided tour or planning your own route — the 22 stops cover everything, and the 24 or 48-hour ticket means you move at your own speed. The boat option adds a view of the city from the water without needing a separate booking.
