The Experience

You get picked up from your hotel by taxi and transferred to park Ladronka, where the Segway-permitted riding begins. Your guide gives you instructions on how to use the machine (whether you choose the X2 off-road model or the i2 city type), and you'll spend time on different surfaces to build confidence before the main ride. Groups stay under eight people, so the pace stays manageable and the guide can watch everyone.

The route takes you through park Ladronka with views across southern Prague and the Smíchov district, then along the riverside where you'll pass the Dancing House. Depending on which duration you book, you'll also ride past Strahov stadium (the world's largest by capacity, now a football training centre), and have the option to stop at one of two active monasteries nearby. Strahov Monastery, the second oldest in Prague, still brews beer and sits on a hilltop overlooking the city centre; the older monastery at the base also has a working brewery. Both let you taste the beer and see the church interiors if you choose to stop.

When you finish, your guide tells you how to get to your next destination, and the taxi brings you back. You'll have a water bottle and helmet included, and you can pick any start time between 9am and 6pm to fit your schedule. The tour runs in all weather, so dress for the conditions.
