The experience
The boat leaves from Latchi, a fishing village on Cyprus's northwest coast where the Akamas Peninsula juts into the Mediterranean. You board Thalassa with up to ten other guests, find your spot on the sunbathing areas or in the modern cabin, and the captain sets course for the Blue Lagoon: the protected cove where the water turns a shade of blue most people only see in photographs. The trip runs between three and six hours depending on which option you book. The longer versions give you time to drift between two or three snorkeling sites and let the pace slow down.
Snorkeling masks and life jackets are waiting for you onboard. You enter the water when you're ready, not on a schedule, and the captain knows the spots where the seabed stays shallow and clear. A coolbox stocked with soft drinks and water sits on deck. The boat has an audio system, inside and outside speakers, a refrigerator, and a private bathroom: small luxuries that matter when you're spending a morning or afternoon at sea. If you want food or alcohol, you arrange it in advance and pay separately.
Pickup from your hotel is available on the 6-hour options. The 3-hour and 4-hour bookings ask you to meet the boat at Latchi. The captain is a professional who specializes in yacht tours along this coast and handles navigation so you focus on the water.

Is this one for you?Book the 6-hour option with transfer if your hotel is in Paphos and you'd rather not drive to Latchi. The 3-hour or 4-hour trip works better if you want a shorter morning or afternoon on the water and don't mind the drive to the harbor.

Top questions
What languages is the tour guided in?
Live guide in English and Greek.
What happens if it rains?
It may be canceled due to bad weather. If that happens, you're offered another date or a refund. Free cancellation up to 24 h before the start.
What's the water like for snorkeling at the Blue Lagoon?
The Blue Lagoon is a protected cove where the water stays shallow, clear and calm: the conditions that make it famous across Cyprus. The captain positions the boat at sites where you can see the seabed and enter easily from the deck.
Can I bring my own snorkeling gear or do I have to use what's on the boat?
Snorkeling masks and life jackets are provided onboard and included in the price. You're welcome to bring your own mask if you prefer a better fit, though most travelers use the equipment supplied.
How many people will be on the boat with me?
Thalassa holds up to eleven guests total, so your group shares the boat with up to ten other travelers. The sunbathing areas and cabin give everyone space to spread out.
What's the difference between the 3-hour, 4-hour and 6-hour options?
The 3-hour and 4-hour trips visit one or two snorkeling sites and move at a relaxed pace. The 6-hour option gives you time to explore more of Akamas and the lagoon, and it's the only one that includes hotel pickup. The shorter trips ask you to meet at Latchi.
Is there food on the boat?
Soft drinks and water are included in every trip. Food and alcoholic beverages aren't part of the standard package, but you can arrange them in advance for an additional charge by contacting the operator before you book.
