The experience

Piskadó Beach, also called Grandi Beach, is where you swim alongside sea turtles in their natural habitat. Local fishermen work the dock and colorful boats sit anchored in water clear enough to see the underwater life below. The sand is rougher than resort beaches, but that authenticity, and the turtles, is what makes it memorable. From there, the tour moves to Cas Abao, a beach History Channel ranked among the Caribbean's 21 best. The sand is soft white, the water turquoise and calm, and a reef full of marine life sits close to shore. Sun loungers, umbrellas and a beach bar let you rest between snorkeling sessions.

The third stop is Kenepa Grandi, also known as Grote Knip, ringed by green hills and cliffs that frame the water.
