The experience

The boat leaves the marina at 3 PM with just you, your partner, the captain and crew aboard. The first hour takes you through the Spanish Waters lagoon past Santa Barbara Beach and into the Caribbean Sea, heading toward Fuik Bay. The route is built around two anchoring stops: one hour of cruising out, one hour stationary in the bay, one hour back, timed so you catch the beginning of sunset on the return sail through open water.

At Fuik Bay you drop anchor in what the operator calls an underwater paradise. Snorkeling equipment is provided, and you can either explore the mangroves and reef, swim to the small beach, or stay on deck in the cushioned seating while the crew serves a Mediterranean-style food platter. Vegetarian and gluten-free options are available on request. Bottled water, soft drinks, beer, hard seltzers, and a selection of white, rosé and sparkling wines are included throughout. Travelers under 21 receive non-alcoholic drinks only.

The sail back to harbor takes roughly an hour, and if conditions cooperate, you'll have smooth sailing with the sail deployed as the sun drops toward the horizon. You arrive back around 6 PM. Complimentary transfers are included from Sandals Royal Curaçao Resort, which sits next to the marina. Transfers from other accommodations or the cruise port are available on request for a fixed rate. Reef-friendly sunscreen and floaties are provided, along with bath towels.
