The experience
Your morning starts in the city center, where you'll walk the famous floating bridge that shifts under your feet on the water, then drive out to the island's clearest beaches. Kenepa Beach is known for its bright turquoise water. Playa Lagun sits smaller and quieter with snorkeling right off the sand. You'll have time to swim or snorkel with turtles at one stop, and a lunch break at a clifftop spot with local food and views over the sea.
At 1pm, you leave from Playa Santa Cruz by boat toward the Blue Room Cave: a sea cave you enter by water and can only explore if you're a confident swimmer. After the cave, the boat moves to a shipwreck and then to snorkel sites along the coastline. Snorkel equipment is provided. The boat carries bottled water and chips. The whole day runs five to six hours, with a live English or Dutch-speaking guide and air-conditioned transport for the car portion.
Children from age 5 are welcome. Infants can ride in a stroller or sit on an adult's lap. The boat trip to the Blue Room is optional, so you can skip the water portion if you prefer to stay on land, though the underwater sites are where Curaçao's color really shows.
