Private Sail Pula: 8-Hour Custom Istrian Coastal Charter
You design the route, the skipper handles the boat
A private eight-hour sailboat charter from Pula lets you and your group co-design the day with an English-speaking skipper, choosing between Cape Kamenjak's rugged coastline, secluded anchorages, Brijuni views or open water. Snorkeling equipment, a stand-up paddleboard, local Istrian wine and tapas are included. You decide how much time to spend sailing, swimming or simply anchored in a quiet bay.

The experience
Cape Kamenjak and the Brijuni archipelago frame the options, but the skipper builds the itinerary around what you want to do that day. Meet at the marina in Pula, brief the skipper on your preferences (more sailing or more time in the water, which coves to seek out, whether you want to anchor for a long swim or keep moving), and the two of you plot the route together. The boat is yours alone for the full eight hours, so there's no schedule to follow except your own.
The water activities come ready to go: snorkeling masks and snorkels are on board, a stand-up paddleboard is rigged for bay exploration, and an onboard GoPro captures the moments you want to remember. Complimentary Istrian wine, Teranino liqueur, beer and soft drinks flow throughout the day, paired with local tapas served during your cruise. If you want a more substantial meal, you can bring a picnic or arrange an optional restaurant stop ashore. Your skipper will coordinate it, and you cover the cost.
The return sail to Pula closes the day, but the rhythm is entirely yours: some groups spend the afternoon anchored in one cove, others sail the full coastline. A JBL speaker lets you set the soundtrack, and WiFi onboard means you can stay connected if you need to. All boat costs, safety gear and insurance are covered. The only expense beyond the booking is parking at the marina (roughly €10 per car, paid directly).

Top questions
What happens if it rains?
It may be canceled due to bad weather. If that happens, you're offered another date or a refund. Free cancellation up to 24 h before the start.
Can we visit Cape Kamenjak and the Brijuni archipelago in the same day?
Cape Kamenjak and Brijuni are both reachable in an eight-hour charter, and your skipper can plan a route that includes both if that's what you want. The exact stops depend on wind, your preferred pace and how much time you spend in the water at each location.
What water activities are included, and do we need experience?
Snorkeling equipment, a stand-up paddleboard and swimming are all included and require no prior experience. The skipper can teach you how to use the SUP, and snorkeling works at any skill level in the calm bays where you anchor.
Is lunch provided, or do we need to bring food?
Local Istrian tapas and drinks are served throughout the day. If you want a full meal, you can bring a picnic or ask your skipper to arrange a stop at a waterfront restaurant ashore, where you'll pay for the meal directly.
How does the custom itinerary work? Do we plan it before we arrive?
You meet your skipper at the marina in Pula and plan the day together. Tell him what interests you (Cape Kamenjak, hidden coves, Brijuni views, more sailing or more swimming), and he'll design the route around your preferences and the conditions that day.
What's included in the price, and what costs extra?
The eight-hour charter includes the skipper, all water gear (snorkeling, SUP, GoPro), Istrian wine and drinks, tapas, safety equipment, boat fuel and insurance. Parking at the marina is roughly €10 per car, paid on arrival. Any restaurant meal ashore is at your own expense, as is gratuity for the skipper if you choose to leave one.
