Parasailing in Makarska is a 10-minute activity where you're towed behind a boat and lifted into the air on a parachute, rising to an altitude you choose at booking. A live guide in English or German briefs you before launch. Children from age 8 can participate. The all-inclusive price covers everything needed. You pick your height, anywhere from 100 to 700 meters, which determines how far out over the water and how high you climb.

The experience

You board a boat at the Makarska waterfront and get fitted with a harness while the crew explains the setup. The boat accelerates, the parachute fills, and you lift off the deck without jumping. The tow does the work. For 10 minutes you're airborne, watching the coastline and the water shrink below. The higher you choose, the wider the view spreads: at 700 meters you see across the bay. At 100 meters you're close enough to feel the spray. There's no skill required and no equipment to manage once you're up. You're simply suspended and floating.

The boat stays in constant radio contact with you the whole time. When the 10 minutes are done, the crew guides you back down to the deck in a controlled descent: no splashing, no drama. You're back on board, unclipped from the harness, and the boat heads back to shore. The whole outing, from briefing to landing, takes under an hour.
