The Experience
The boat leaves Medulin harbour with a welcome drink in hand. The first fifty minutes cruise the archipelago and the coastline south toward Kamenjak, the southernmost point of Istria, where limestone cliffs drop into the sea and underwater caves open into the rock. You'll swim inside Golumbera cave with the guide for about thirty minutes—the crew helps you in and out, and the cave itself is the whole point of this part of the day.
After the cave, the boat circles Porer, an Austro-Hungarian lighthouse built in 1846, and the guide explains its history and how it operates today. Lunch arrives while you're cruising the Kamenjak coast: you choose between fish, tuna steak, meat or a vegetarian plate, and drinks keep coming—wine, beer, water, juice, schnapps. Everything is included in the price.
The last part of the trip anchors at Ceja, a private island with a restaurant-bar, where you have two or three hours to swim, snorkel and sunbathe on a typical Croatian beach. The boat then heads back to Medulin to finish the day. If weather turns unstable, the operator will adapt or reschedule the trip.
