The Experience

The day starts with pickup from your Hvar hotel, the bus station, or Stari Grad Ferry Port, then heads inland toward the island's wine region. Your guide leads the group—kept small so the pace stays manageable—through the village of Brusje on the old road, where views open across the Adriatic and nearby islands. The route itself is part of the experience: you're moving through the landscape that shapes what the winemakers grow.

At the first winery, you taste four to five local wines paired with light snacks; the same happens at the second stop. The tastings are structured but unhurried, and your guide explains what you're drinking without turning it into a lecture. By late afternoon, appetite sets in, and the group moves to dinner in one of the charming villages nearby. You choose between Dalmatian "Brujet" (a fish stew with polenta), "Gregada" (another fish stew with potatoes), or "Pašticada" (stewed beef with gnocchi), followed by a daily dessert.
