The experience
You arrive at the diving and water sports center in Tucepi at 9:30 a.m. and board the boat around 10 a.m. for the short run to the first dive site. On the way, you set up your diving equipment with help from the crew if you need it. The guide gives a boat briefing and a diving briefing before you enter the water. After the first dive, you surface for a break of roughly 1 to 1.5 hours, then descend again for the second dive. The boat returns to Tucepi after the second dive ends.
The dive sites sit on the islands of Hvar and Brac, as well as along the Makarska Riviera. You might explore steep walls, fresh water sources, canyons or caves on reefs ranging from 5 to 40 meters deep. The exact location and depth depend on the current weather and the experience level of the divers in the group that morning: the guide confirms the choice when you arrive. Only divers with a valid license can go deeper than 12 meters. Bring your diving license with you. If you need to rent equipment, contact the operator by 7 p.m. the day before so they can have it ready.
The day includes two dives, air, bottles, lead weights, a live guide in English, German, Czech or Croatian, drinking water, tea and fruit. You can add nitrox, a diving computer, a 15-liter bottle or a private guide at checkout. Children are welcome from age 9 onward.
