The experience

Biokovo rises straight from the Dalmatian coast, and the Skywalk sits on its face at a height where the sea spreads below you in every direction. The glass platform protrudes 11 meters out from the cliff: far enough that you feel the exposure, close enough that the engineering is solid underfoot. You get the adrenaline without the risk. The structure is built to hold, and the views of the coastline and islands run unbroken from the platform edge.

After the Skywalk, an easy hike takes you to Sinjal, the mountain peak at 1,333 meters. The trail is straightforward, and the vantage from the top opens up the whole Makarska Riviera. Your guide speaks English or German and leads the route. The vehicle is air-conditioned for the drive up. Water, coffee, tea and snacks come with the tour, along with your entrance ticket.

The half-day format means you're back by early afternoon, leaving the rest of your day free. Five hours total covers the drive, the Skywalk time, the hike and the return to Makarska.
