The experience
You operate the ATV yourself up Biokovo Mountain on terrain that demands focus and balance. The ride climbs for about an hour through the landscape, then stops for 20 minutes at a viewpoint where the Adriatic spreads below you and the islands come into view. From there the route continues to the Skywalk: a glass walkway that extends out over the mountainside, suspended 1228 meters above sea level. You spend 30 minutes there, walking across the transparent floor with nothing between you and the drop, then return to the base area for a 30-minute picnic where wild horses sometimes appear in the surrounding terrain. The descent back to the starting point takes another hour of riding through Biokovo Nature Park.
A professional guide leads the group and handles the route. You bring a valid B-category driving license. The ATV comes fueled and ready, and the operator provides a sweet snack pack with water and juice during the day. Entry to the Skywalk is included without waiting in line, though the ticket price varies by season (10 euros in April through early June and October through early November, 15 euros mid-June through September). Pickup is included, so you don't arrange your own transport to the starting point.
