The Experience

You're picked up from your Manuel Antonio or Quepos hotel and driven 35 minutes into the protected rainforest reserve that Amigos del Rio runs. The van pulls up to the rancho, and from there a 4x4 takes you down to base camp where the harnesses and helmets come out. This is where the day actually starts — not with a briefing, but with a bilingual guide fitting you into gear and pointing out the first zip line strung between the canopy.
