The experience

The course sits in the heart of Manuel Antonio, strung across the jungle canopy with 10 separate zip lines that drop you between 16 platforms anchored high in the trees. You move through the reserve on your own momentum, crossing 4 suspension bridges that hang between the platforms and pausing at 2 elevated river platforms where the canopy opens to the water below. The setup means you spend the 2 hours moving, not waiting: each line flows into the next platform, and the guide manages the pace so the group stays together without bunching up.

An optional 100-foot waterfall rappel sits partway through the course for anyone who wants it. You can skip it and take an alternate route if you prefer to stay on the zip lines alone. The landing platform sits right at the Manuel Antonio main road, so the end of the activity is also the start of getting back. Certified equipment is provided for every person on the line, and the guide briefs you on the harness and the braking before you clip in.

Hotel pickup is included, and the guide speaks English or Spanish. You choose at booking. The Butterfly Garden and Crocodile Lagoon open to you on the same day as part of the package, so you can add time there if the schedule allows. Children from age 3 can participate. Infants ride with an adult. The activity is wheelchair accessible, though the zip line itself requires the ability to be harnessed and suspended.
