Walk remote routes through ancient rock murals and narrow river gorges

The experience

The five days split across four distinct routes, each built around a different landscape. The Rocky Route crosses streets, tunnels and rock formations shaped by water erosion, with glacial sinks visible along the riverbank. The Stone Route enters tropical wet forest to reach a river with clear water and ends at a lagoon sunset. The Raudal Route navigates Angosturas II, the second-narrowest section of the Guayabero River, where sedimentary rock walls tower above the water. The Orion Route crosses cretaceous rock formations and finishes in savanna with aquatic plants and crystal-clear pools. The order shifts based on group size and operating conditions, so no two departures follow the same sequence.

Accommodation runs four nights in simple hotels with multiple-room options. Some departures include one or two nights in rural settings near Lagoon La Herradura. Breakfast, lunch and dinner come with the package each day. A local host meets you at the airport or bus terminal, takes you to the hotel to drop bags, then starts the first route. On the final day, checkout happens when you leave for the tour, and if you have a flight, the guide delivers you directly to the airport. Medical care insurance and all entrance fees are included. You'll need moderate physical fitness for the 4- to 5-kilometer walks.

The tour runs with a Spanish-speaking guide as standard. If your group needs English or French, arrange a bilingual guide or translator at checkout. Groups of 14 or more from the same package may participate in an evening with the Tukano community, depending on availability.
