Your guide, fluent in English and experienced from years abroad, walks with you the whole way, explaining what you're seeing as the city unfolds around you.
The Tianjin Eye, a large observation wheel similar to the London Eye, sits at the center of the route. What makes this stop different from a typical ferris wheel is the neighborhood itself: a river view along a beautiful bridge where locals spend their days, so you're not just looking at the city from above but understanding how people actually live here. From there you move into the old colonial quarter, a walking street of western-style buildings built a hundred years ago when Tianjin was a retreat for royal families and diplomats.
