Ride a jungle train to Devil’s Gorge and stroll Brazil’s trails in one day

A private full-day tour of Iguazu Falls from Puerto Iguazu covers both the Argentine and Brazilian parks with a bilingual guide and air-conditioned vehicle. The Argentine side begins with a train ride through the jungle to Devil's Gorge, then crosses into Brazil for a car-based tour along the 1,200-meter cataract trail, ending at the 90-meter Devil's Gorge viewpoint. The route includes contemplation mirrors for closer views of individual falls and access to the upper and lower jungle walkways.

Step-by-step itinerary

Explore Iguazu Falls in Brazil and Argentina

  • Enter Brazilian park by authorized vehicle
  • Walk 1,200-meter cataract trail
  • View Devil's Gorge from Brazilian side
  • Take train to Devil's Gorge in Argentina
  • Walk upper and lower jungle walkways
  • See "two sisters" waterfall

The experience

The tour splits the two countries' approaches to the same waterfall system. On the Argentine side, you board an open-air train that cuts through the jungle to reach Devil's Gorge (a single drop of roughly 90 meters that anchors the park), and then walk the upper and lower jungle pathways to see "the Two Sisters" and other falls from different angles. The Brazilian side works differently: a vehicle takes you to trailheads where you walk the 1,200-meter cataract trail, passing contemplation mirrors positioned to frame individual jumps before they plunge. Both parks have restaurants and cafés, though lunch is not included in the tour price.

A bilingual guide (Portuguese, English or Spanish) travels with you the entire day in a private, air-conditioned vehicle, handling the border crossing and navigation between the two countries. The guide enters each park with you and leads the walks. Travel time between sites is already built into the eight-hour total. Depending on which meeting point you choose (Foz do Iguazu in Brazil or Puerto Iguazu in Argentina) the itinerary may reverse, but both parks are covered either way. Park entry tickets are included depending on your option. A tourism rate applies in Argentina at the gate.

The vehicle is new and designed for comfort on longer drives, and the tour suits all fitness levels. Families with infants can bring a pram or stroller, and the parks are wheelchair accessible, though some jungle walkways have uneven terrain.
