The Experience

Two waterfalls sit inside one park, each on its own trail. Cassorova Waterfall stands 60 meters high and draws a moderate 200-meter track through the forest; Quatis runs 46 meters with a longer 1,500-meter path alongside a remnant of Atlantic rainforest. You walk both or choose one, moving at whatever speed suits you. The trails are self-guided, so there's no fixed schedule or group rhythm — you stop at viewpoints when you want, turn back early if you need to, or take your time on the forest floor.

The park wraps both trails in infrastructure that changes what a waterfall visit feels like. Natural pools with small cascades sit ready for wading; a suspension bridge crosses the Cassorova Canyon with the full waterfall in view from the middle of it. Lookout platforms give you the falls from above. Locker rooms with showers, bathrooms, a snack bar and restaurant mean you can spend a full day here without leaving to eat or change. Wheelchair-accessible paths run through parts of the park. Free parking sits at the entrance.

You'll need your own transport to reach EcoParque Cassorova — it's not served by hotel pickups or shuttle services. Once you arrive, entry includes everything: the trails, the pools, the bridge, the lookouts and the parking. Bring water and wear shoes that grip wet stone. The forest canopy keeps things cooler than the open sun, but the trails can be slick after rain.

Is this one for you?Self-guided trails suit travelers who want to set their own pace and spend as little or as much time as they want at each waterfall — no fixed schedule, no group waiting. If you prefer a guide explaining the forest and the geology, or if you need transport arranged from your hotel, look for a guided tour instead.
