The experience
The tour opens at Praia da Vila, the former stage of the World Surfing Championship, then moves through Mirante do Porto to Praia dos Amores, known for calm, transparent water. From there you reach Praia da Ribanceira to see the region's largest dunes, each stop lasting five to ten minutes for photos. The route is built around the landscape itself: each beach has a distinct character, from the sheltered coves to the mountain-backed waves of Praia da Silveira.
The day's anchor is a two-hour stop at Barra de Ibiraquera, where the lagoon meets the sea and Ilha do Batuta sits visible offshore. This is where you eat (lunch is on your own) and have time to move at your own pace. In the afternoon, the tour continues to Praia da Ferrugem and its white sands, then passes Praia da Silveira before reaching Siriú Dunes, where you can try sandboarding or skibunda if you rent the equipment there. The final stop is Praia Central de Garopaba at sunset, a twenty to thirty-minute photo opportunity that closes the day.
An experienced guide travels with the group and speaks English, Spanish or Portuguese. The vehicle is air-conditioned and pickup is arranged from your accommodation. The full day runs ten hours, so plan accordingly if you have evening plans or an early departure the next morning.
