The experience

The tour starts at Heritage Wharf between the cruise terminals. You'll head first to Crystal Cave, discovered in the early 1900s and formed millions of years ago during the Ice Age. The cave entrance is included in your booking. Inside, you walk across floating pontoons over crystal-blue water, passing stalagmites and stalactites that have been building since the Ice Age. The pontoons let you move through the cave without climbing or scrambling, and the whole experience takes in the scale of the formations without requiring technical caving skills.

After the cave, you stop in St. George, where Bermuda's settlement began over 400 years ago. You can join a short history tour of the town or grab lunch before moving to Tobacco Bay Beach. The beach is Bermuda's most popular swimming spot and also a strong snorkeling site. You'll have roughly 2 hours there. Amenities include a bar, fast food restaurant, bathrooms, and rentals for chairs, umbrellas, and snorkel equipment (these are not included and cost roughly $20 each). The tour is structured so you can skip the St. George history stop and head straight to the beach if you prefer.

The full outing runs 6.5 hours from departure to return. Tours leave on schedule, so check in 30 minutes early at the pier. You'll need to change into dry clothes before boarding the bus to head back to the ship. The guide is a live English speaker, and children from age 3 are welcome. Service animals are allowed. The tour suits anyone with moderate fitness who can walk on pontoons and spend time in or near water. It's not recommended for travelers with spinal injuries, breathing difficulties, or significant cardiovascular or knee/hip problems.
