You walk through Crystal Caves on a guided pontoon pathway with entry included, then visit the Bermuda Aquarium to see tropical marine life and birds, spend time shopping and eating in Hamilton, and return by ferry to the Dockyard. The five-hour tour handles all the reservations and transport logistics, so you just show up at the start time.
Hands grip the pontoon railing as you move across the floating pathway deep inside Crystal Caves, limestone formations rising on both sides and the water below catching the light from openings far above. The guide leads the group through — it's a guided walk, not a solo exploration, and the tour operator books the whole group's entry in advance so there's no line negotiation when you arrive. The cave entrance fee is included if you booked after August 18, 2024. It takes about an hour inside, and the air stays cool and damp the whole time.
After the caves, the coach takes you to the Bermuda Aquarium, Museum & Zoo, where you'll see a replica coral reef and tropical birds and animals in the same visit. The aquarium entrance isn't included — you pay that on the day — but it's a natural next stop if you want to see what lives in the water you just walked over. Then you head into Hamilton, the capital, with time to walk Front Street and its boutiques and shops, or grab lunch if that's what you need. The pace is loose here; you're not being herded through a schedule.
When you're ready to leave, you catch the ferry across Hamilton Harbour back to the Royal Naval Dockyard, and that ticket is included. The whole day runs five hours, and the minimum group size is eight people — if a tour doesn't hit that number before departure, it can be cancelled, so book early enough to give it a chance to fill. You'll need moderate fitness for the walking, and anyone under 18 needs an adult with them. Call after 6pm to confirm if your tour is close to the start time, since the office can't answer the phone while groups are out.
