The Experience

The day starts where you want it to: pickup at a beachfront resort on Ambergris Caye, then straight to the fishing grounds. You handle the rod with the crew nearby, and the water around San Pedro holds grouper, snapper and smaller reef fish depending on the season. After an hour or two on the line, the boat moves to a snorkeling site where you drop in with the provided gear and work the reef at your own pace.

By midday you're back on shore for the BBQ—the fish you caught gets grilled, sides and fresh fruit laid out, and the drinks keep flowing: water, sodas, rum punch, or whatever else you've asked for ahead of time. If someone in the group doesn't eat fish, chicken grills alongside it. After lunch, there's time for another snorkel before heading back to town. The whole arc takes about six hours, but the crew works with you on timing—if you want to leave at dawn and return by early afternoon, that works; if a later start suits your day better, they adjust.

This is a private boat with your group and the crew, not a cattle-car operation. You're not waiting for other groups or following a fixed itinerary. The fishing gear, snorkeling equipment, and all the food and drink come with the price; just bring sunscreen and let the crew know if anyone has a dietary preference or a specific drink request.
