Step-by-step itinerary
Island hopping and snorkeling tour
- Snorkel at coral reefs near Green Cay
- Relax and stroll on Rose Island beach
- Explore and snorkel at Sandy Cay
- Lunch stop at beach bar with activities
The experience
The boat departs for nearby islands where you'll spend most of the time in and around the water. Green Cay, a small island near Rose Island, sits in shallow turquoise water ringed by sea turtles. You put on the snorkel gear provided and drop in to watch them swim past. The coral reefs here are dense with colorful fish and sea life, and the water is clear enough to see the bottom. Bottled water is available throughout the morning.
Rose Island comes next, a longer stretch where you can walk the powdery white sand beach or wade into the water without the snorkel gear if you prefer. Sandy Cay, just 15 minutes from Nassau harbour, is the third stop. A 3-acre island known for being one of the most photographed in the Caribbean, with aqua-colored shallows and the same white sand. The boat then pulls in at a beach bar and grill where you can order lunch, play volleyball or billiards, or simply sit with a view of the ocean. The cost of food and drinks is separate from the charter price.
You can book either a 39-foot boat or a 45-foot powerboat, both private for your group. The guide speaks English and stays with the group throughout. The tour runs four hours total, and public transportation is available near the departure point if you need it.

Is this one for you?Choose the 45-foot powerboat if your group is larger or you prefer more space and speed between islands. The 39-foot boat works well for smaller groups and still reaches all three snorkeling sites. Either way, the private boat means your group sets the pace at each stop: linger longer at the reefs if the turtles are active, or spend more time on the beaches.

Top questions
What happens if it rains?
It may be canceled due to bad weather. If that happens, you're offered another date or a refund. Free cancellation up to 24 h before the start.
What are the sea turtles like at Green Cay when you snorkel there?
Green Cay sits in shallow water surrounded by sea turtles that swim all around the island. When you enter the water with snorkel gear, they're visible in the coral reefs and move freely through the area, so you'll see them at close range while you're in the water.
Can you snorkel at all three islands, or just at Green Cay?
Green Cay is where the main snorkeling happens: the coral reefs and sea turtles are there. Rose Island and Sandy Cay are stops where you can walk the beaches and wade in the water, but the structured snorkeling is at Green Cay.
Is lunch included in the price, or do you pay extra at the beach bar?
Lunch is not included in the charter cost. The beach bar and grill is a stop on the tour, and you can order food and drinks there, but you pay separately for anything you eat or drink.
How long does the tour actually take from start to finish?
The tour runs four hours total, covering all three islands and the beach bar stop. That includes time in the water snorkeling, time on the beaches, and the stop at the bar and grill.
What's included in the snorkeling part, do you bring your own gear or is it provided?
Snorkel equipment is provided and included in the price. Bottled water is also included throughout the tour.
